Auf Herrn Prof. Christian Büchel wurde ich zum ersten Mal aufmerksam in einem Artikel in der Schweizer Musikzeitung. Sein Hintergrund als Opernsänger, ausgebildet an der Musikhochschule in München und seiner Ausbildung am Institut von Brett Manning (singingsuccess.com) erschien mir mehr als seriös. Ein Opernsänger der sich genauso für Pop, RnB, Country, Rock und mehr interessiert und die gesamte Bandbreite des Gesangs auslotet? Das war ein Versuch Wert, eine Gesangsstunde zu probieren. Vor 2 Jahren hatte ich gerade meine Debut CD als Liedermacher und Sänger aufgenommen, u.a. mit Musikern die Lehrer sind an der ZHdK oder im Zürcher Opernhausorchester spielten. Ich war also mit anderen Worten nicht unbedingt auf der Suche nach einem Gesangslehrer. Was sich aber dann herausstellte war phänomenal.
Die Art und Weise wie Christian Büchel Gesang unterrichtet ist in der Schweiz absolut einmalig. Die Resultate welche er mit mir, aber auch mit SängerInnen aus allen Genres erreicht hat, sind unglaublich. Ich habe es in meinem eigenen Unterricht erlebt und ich weiss es aus Rückmeldungen von zahlreichen namhaften Schweizer SängerInnen und SchauspielerInnen, denen ich im Rahmen meiner Tätigkeit als musikalischer Leiter diverser Projekte Unterricht bei Christian Büchel nahelegte. Ich kann Herrn Christian Büchel nur uneingeschränkt wärmstes für Ihr Institut empfehlen. Ich bin sicher, dass die Hochschule der richtige Ort ist für Herrn Büchels Unterricht und dass gerade die Hochschul-Studierenden, ob im Chor, Haupt- oder Nebenfach, alle vollauf von der Bandbreite und der Methodik von Herrn Christian Büchel profitieren können.

Stimmtherapie
Wegen krankheitsbedingter Beeinträchtigung meiner Stimmbänder (Wallenberg Syndrom) suchte ich einen Lehrer für Stimmbildung und Gesang. Aufgrund eines Zeitungsinterviews stiess ich auf Christian Büchel. Seit Herbst 2014 bin ich nun regelmässig bei ihm. Christian versteht es sehr gut, mir die Mechanismen der Gesangsstimme zu erklären und die richtigen Massnahmen zu setzen, um meine Stimme wohl klingen zu lassen. Ich habe schon Riesenfortschritte gemacht und freue mich jedesmal auf die nächste Stunde bei Christian.
Due to illness affecting my vocal cords I was looking for a teacher of vocal training and singing. I found Christian due to a newspaper interview. Since autumn 2014 I am regularly taking lessons with him. Christian understands it very well to tell me the mechanisms of voice and to put the right measures in order to let my voice sound well. I have already made giant progress and I am looking forward to the next lessons with Christian.

I am the Music Director of the Cathedral of Vaduz in Liechtenstein and have hired Christian Büchel as my Bass soloist since 2000. Christian has sung repetoire ranging from French Baroque to modern gospel and is an important part of our musical family. We are also planning a joint project between the cathedral choir and his We Are Family choir. Christian is very professional, is full of creative ideas and always comes to our events with energy and joy. I have also followed his career on the stage and have enjoyed his acting and singing.
I know that Christian is very excited about the possibility of being with Brett Manning in Nashville and I am sure that he will take advantage of this opportunity with his usual energy.

I am the Chief of the «Liechtenstein Musical Company». Christian Büchel is an important singer and vocal coach in our Musical Company.
He prepared the solo-singers for two productions: Aida of Elton John and Hair of MacDermont. It was fantastic. He even helped our dancers to sing perfectly.
As a soloist he sang the wonderful title role of Dracula of Svoboda, Berger in Hair and Cliff in Cabaret.
We are happy about the fact that he can study at Brett Manning Studios in Nashville.

my name is Michael Lochar and I am managing director of the below named companies as well as promotion-manager for Universal Music Publishing Classical Berlin. With Christian I met in my function as co-organizer and director of the Arosa Opera Festival, which takes place every summer and is specialized in the presentation of not well known (or forgotten) chamber operas.
Since Christian sung the first time there 3 years ago, we have engaded him every year again for the warm sound of his voice and its perfect technical education. I have not to underline, that he is also a marvelous actor – as I know you will find on the webpages of Arosa some photos of his characters from the productions of Mayr`s (he was the teacher of Donizetti and at his time the most famous opera composer in Italy) The Merchant of Vinegar, The Miser and Offenbach‘s Signor Fagotto, which he has created.
In any case I am not too happy, he has got the chance to study at the Brett Manning Studios in Nashville, because now we have to found an understudy for him. But what could I do?

I am the pianist of international singers: Francisco Araiza, Anna Tomowa-Sintow, Michael Heim and Eva Lind just to mention a few.
Since the year 2001 I also play the piano accompaniment for Christian Büchel. He is a wonderful Bariton with a great sound range and musical diversity.
Every year we organize about 3 to 4 concerts: The programs usually content classical «Liedgesang» of Schubert, Wolf, Schumann or classical arias duetts, terzetts and quartetts with 4 professional operatic singers. We also work together in an annual christmas concert. Often he also conducts up to 100 people in a huge choir for the big opera choruses like «Va pensiero» which we do together in multiple concerts.
I further can tell you, that his singing students reach a very high level and skill which he demonstrates in his amazing young talents concerts. I also do a lot of concerts with him in the musical field. You can be very happy when he comes to Nashville.
